Cell Phones: You will be penalized when your cell phone disrupts class instruction. Each class disruption will lower your attendance grade as follows: 1 cell phone disruption = 2 absences ( - 2%).

Written Principles of Macroeconomics has a Gordon Rule (GR) requirement.

Assignments: To meet the GR requirement, this course has three (3) written assignments

which comprise 10% of your final grade.

§ You will meet the GR requirement if and only if your writing is considered “College-Level.” Please see attached handout to learn how your written assignments will be evaluated.

§ Students must earn 8 or more points per assignment to meet the GR requirement.

§ If you do not complete ALL the writing assignments, you will fail this course.

§ Please check your assignment for proper spelling and grammar before submission.

§ Assignments must be typed in New Times Roman, Font Size 12, with
one-inch (1”) margins. Do not submit a cover page.

Recommendations: While there are no pre-requisites for ECO2013, students must possess basic math and graphing skills (Please see attached handout to preview the level of math expected). Students should have test out of, completed, or be currently enrolled in Intermediate Algebra (MAT 1033). As this is a Gordon Rule course, completion of ENC 1101 would be helpful.
