Chew TV Content Panel
What we are looking for?
· Young individuals 14 to 25yrs who are passionate about film and media.
· Support from their organization or family member (s), or young individuals who are independent enough to meet the demands of the Chew TV Content Panel.
· If you are under 18yrs you will be asked to give details of your organisation or family member (s) how are supporting you.
What is the Chew TV Content Panel about?
· The Chew TV Content Panel is about looking at films and making informed decisions set against a list of criteria’s. E.g. whether the content of a film is appropriate for the Chew TV site. Once the Content Panel has made a decision on whether the chosen film (s) are appropriate for Chew TV and that the content of the chosen film (s) has a place within the programming schedule, it will then be placed onto the site for viewing.
· Chew TV will provide training for the selected members of the Content Panel. We will be looking at many different aspects of how a film should be analysed including looking at the B.B.F.C guidelines etc…
What are the demands of the Chew TV Content Panel?
· The demands of the Chew TV Content Panel is about letting young people have their say on what is appropriate, giving them the chance to be part of a Panel that allows them to think about films informatively and creatively, thinking about whether a submitted film is funny, exciting, frightening, inspiring or just crazy. The most compelling content will be chosen for the Chew TV programme schedule.
· Chew TV understands that its young budding film activists have more than enough on their plates, so this is why it aims to make the Chew TV Content Panel as flexible as possible.
· Once we have selected the Chew TV Content Panel, there will be some level of commitment need at first to get the ball rolling. Now we don’t what to scare you away by mentioning that word ‘commitment” but still it needs to be said, here is how we see it at Chew TV.
1 – The amount of commitment that is needed from the Chew TV Content Panel would only be at least two to three hours a day, once a week or once a month.
2 – Membership of the Content Panel will be for one year (to be reviewed annually)
3 – You will be able to log into a secure area of Chew TV, where you can view, analyse and discuss the content of a film (s) before making a selection / rejection decision & if accepted decide where to place on the programme schedule.
4 – At the start of joining the Chew TV Content Panel you will be expected to attend at least a day or two-day training session where you will be able to meet and network with the other members of the Chew TV Content Panel. The location of this event will be forwarded to you after you have been selected to be apart of the Chew TV Content Panel. Chew TV will cover the costs of attending this training.
