Information from Nurse Hinson….

Letters will coming home in May reminding parents that all medications must be picked up from the clinic on the last full day of school. Any medications that are left will be destroyed. NO medications will be held over until the next school year. Controlled medications will NOT be sent home with students. New medications and doctor’s orders will be required for the next school year.

Notes to Parents:

*If your cell phone or home phone changes, please contact the school with that information. The school nurse needs up to date contact information in case of illness or accident.

*Bring in your box tops for education! We get 10 cents for every box top that our school donates!

*All car riders must have car tags in order to be released in the car line! (This includes students who are normally bus riders, as well.)

* A student may not return to school until they have been fever and/or symptom free for 24 hours after illness!

*Please remember to wear a visitor pass, if you are in the school. We are taking every measure possible to ensure the safety of our children.

Pennies for Patients Update

Many thanks for your generous donations to the campaign to help fight Leukemia and Lymphoma. Our school goal was $1,500.00 and we collected a total of $2,623.67. Congratulations to Mrs. Gardner’s grade class and Mrs. Flynn’s class for donating the highest amounts of money. The winning classes were treated with a party of their choice.

SCPASS and SC Ready Testing

As testing approaches, parents please be reminded that students need adequate rest and a balanced breakfast each day. Please have all 3rd-5th grade students at school and on time daily during testing. Please reschedule any unnecessary appointments and bring excuses for any absences.

During a child’s elementary school career, only one transfer will be allowed to one of the other schools at Chester Park Complex. Should a parent want to exercise their right to transfer for the next school year, the request must be received in writing to the Principal by May 1st. Forms can be requested from the Principal.
