Old Business
Deryck reviewed the current status of SC-10 documents. The details are listed in an appendix at the end of this document.
WG on Static Gel Strength Testing
· Rick Lukay voiced concern on the progress of the WG. He suggested that Deryck confirm that the WG chairperson still wants to lead the WG.
· Deryck commented that the contract with Princeton has not been finalized and has been part of the reason for recent delays.
· Rick pointed out that the group agreed to continue to test using current methods in addition to the work covered by the Princeton contract.
· WC Jones mentioned that he would like to get the information from the WG.
· Deryck said he will encourage that everything gets loaded to the SharePoint.
API RP 65-2
· Dan Mueller commented that 65-2 is 5 years old and needs to be sent out for reaffirmation.
New Business
Equipment Related Documents
· Glen Benge commented that SC-10 may need a liaison between SC-18 to help clarify questions around equipment documents (i.e. float equipment and centralizers).
· SC-18 may be able to address what testing process may be required to monogram equipment.
· Alfredo Sanchez volunteered to be the liaison.
Calibration Details for SC-10 Documents
· Rick Lukay commented that the group working on API Spec 10A and API RP 10B-2 recommends making Annex B in 10B-2 a standalone document. This document can then be referenced by other SC-10 documents. Having a separate document will help align calibration requirements across multiple documents.
· Rick motioned to remove annex B (section on calibration) from 10B-2 and make its own document.
· James Heathman mentioned a gap analysis will show that most discrepancies in the SC-10 documents are related to calibration.
· Hieko Plack mentioned that all reference to calibration in 10A will need to be removed.
· Dan Mueller commented that a lot of other documents would also need revision to accommodate the change in reference.
· Glen Benge seconded the motion and Deryck approved
· Dave Stiles mentioned it may be easier to keep the calibration info in 10B-2 and to maintain all the references.
· Rick Lukay agreed to temporarily lead this WG.
Other Comments:
· Jody Funk with Cemex said Hugh Wang is no longer with the company. A new person will be appointed for Cemex soon.
Upcoming meetings:
· 2016 - Exploration & Production Standards Conference: Washington DC
· 2017 - Exploration & Production Standards Winter Meeting: Austin TX
· 2017 - Exploration & Production Standards Conference: Calgary Canada
Adjournment
After no additional business was proposed, Jerry Calvert moved that the meeting be adjourned. After the motion was seconded by WC Jones, Deryck Williams adjourned the meeting.
