The Contracts Catering Management Company based in Rosh Pinah held an annual cooking competition recently. Five teams took part in this year’s competition in a colourful bid to showcase their culinary skills. Ehafo won first place, Canteen second place and Construction Camp third place respectively.

The company trains students in the various fields such as Hospitality and Tourism for up to two years. Currently 27 students are on training of which six students will graduate at the end of July 2012. Community members with no qualifications or skills are welcome to study at Komesho Culinary Academy. This all ties in with the company’s social responsibility by giving back to the community.

CCM provides services such as catering, cleaning, gardening, town cleaning and laundry to Skorpion Zinc Mine and Rosh Pinah Zinc Corporation in Rosh Pinah for the past ten years. The Training Academy contributes to Namibia’s economy by producing top class chefs.

“There is no much difference between second and third winners, but the first team really deserve the prize”. Said one of the judges Kauna Elago.

The organizers would to thank to the following sponsors in Rosh Pinah Spar, Cymot, Furnmart, CCM, Central Tech in Windhoek, Butchery on Wheels in Okahandja.
