- Figure out a nickname - or a name you will use.
- gmail account first, for all your social networking. Keep school address for school matters. Use your nickname.
- Google - set up an iGoogle page for yourself.
- Bookmarks - either del.icio.us or diigo.
- Twitter account - the fastest way to see what others are doing.
- Plurk account - you can pose questions and get responses.
