How to get started

  1. Figure out a nickname - or a name you will use.
  2. gmail account first, for all your social networking. Keep school address for school matters. Use your nickname.
  3. Google - set up an iGoogle page for yourself.
  4. Bookmarks - either del.icio.us or diigo.
  5. Twitter account - the fastest way to see what others are doing.
  6. Plurk account - you can pose questions and get responses.
  7. Simple webpage to post.
  8. Second Life – virtual online professional growth
  9. Blog - set up a blog page or a place to post stuff.
