Popcorn round: What did you do for the summer related to counseling? / RS- Paperwork, video lectures, chosen to present at APT conference, Zoomed training for p/I
AC- Not leaving. Kudos to the clinic, spectacular level of sophistication, worked on increase of clients presenting with acute trauma
MD- Worked on Study Away program
RF- Bike ride in Czech republic start summer, worked in clinic seeing increase of client sessions, new book cases in clinic
TM- Taught personality development, book chapter ready to publish for U of Georgia on gender and sexism
JH- Taught, revised course motivated by disturbing feedback from student and SP16 instructor of 794, revising family skill development, presenting in September at statewide conference.
RPM- agreed w/AC spent time working child clients this summer, presented at WY statewide conference for play therapy, has been accepted to present in sept. redesigning 708 class settings in practicum format
MNM- prepared to move to here coordinated reading program in Carbondale, taught a humanitarian & global justice class, started research study, preparing 714 incorporating zoom, completing qualitative descriptive study of black men who were or are enrolled in COU program - working on coding
JCW- Chairing dissertation program first defense next month, on graduate screening committee, helped MD w/ study away program, going to Mexico to teach for a week in Oct. organized conference this summer, working w/seminar students to get more organized, applying for promotion as distinguished professor
ALA- welcomed new grandchild, hired by Lumina foundation to train the trainer program w/ L. Foster focusing on neuro-counseling this fall get to go to New Mexico. Four day seminar. Incorporating neuro-council intro play into COU 710 & interview application- first time external reviewer. IDEA- this sharing moment may be good marketing material if videotaped and placed on website.
CLINIC update (Robin) / Clinic Advisory / Robin Farris, Director report / New book cases in clinic, issues regarding calling 911-calls are routed through school security and this created privacy issues. New format and contact numbers have been updated in handbook. Procedure updates to determine status of clients on state registry lists, guardian permission for minors, new play therapy form, practicum orientation participation. Equipment request to go to provost.

Fall Admissions / JCW/ MD/ JH unavailable for fall interviews on 10/28, buddy system to be formalized by JCW by September Faculty meeting/ deadline for acceptance Fall Dec-1/Spring April 1
