How to Register:
1. In Advance – HIGHLY recommended:

2. “Walk-Ups”: Gladly welcome and accepted starting 30 minutes before age group begins tryout.
3. Players currently on a BHYSC Team must attend tryouts but do not need to register.
What to Wear:
Shirt, shorts, shin guards (mandatory) and soccer cleats (recommended) or sneakers. Baseball and football cleats will not be allowed on the field for safety reasons. Remember to bring something to drink.
Other Information:
- These are competitive tryouts for age groups U10 and above; at U9 and above, spaces are limited. Teams at U10 and above will be formed based on ability as determined by professionals from UK Elite Soccer. If enough players try out in a particular age group, a second team may be created.
- For insurance reasons, only players, coaches and U.K. Elite personnel will be allowed on the fields.
- New teams require new volunteer coaches. Please consider volunteering, indicating your interest below.
- In the event of both tryout days being rained out, there will be schedule modifications. You will be notified of changes in scheduled times via email or on the BHYSC website.
- New this year: All U8 players will be accepted into our new Pre-Travel Development Academy (see other side for details).
- All players receive professional training from UK Elite coaches. A club-paid, weekly, one-hour “Brazilian Technical” session has been added this year for all ages.
- Fees are estimates; final fees are based on league fees, individual team training choices, etc.

New This Year: Pre-Travel Development Academy for U8 Boys and Girls
As part of our ongoing commitment to developing players in age-appropriate programs, the BHYSC is implementing a new Pre-Travel Development Academy for all players starting at age U8 (born on or after 8/1/01). Boys and girls entering this program will receive instruction from professional trainers from UK Elite, and play small-sided games in Berkeley Heights under the supervision of trainers and volunteer coaches. Fees will be approximately $200 for the full year (two seasons). All players will be accepted into this program; however, tryouts are still required to place players on to the correct team. Players born after July 31, 2002 may play in the PTDA if they will be in second grade during the 2009-2010 school year. Further information will be available for parents at tryouts.
About Travel Soccer
BHYSC teams from U9 to U19 play in the Mid-New Jersey Youth Soccer Association or the Inter-County Youth Soccer League. Teams play both a fall and a spring season of 10 games each; half of the games are in other towns. To ensure evenly matched games, BHYSC teams may travel as far away as Princeton, Frenchtown, or Union Beach. Fees are partially based on league dues which have not yet been published for next season; as an indication, last year’s fee was $290 for a full year (both Spring and Fall seasons). U8 fees are less (see above). U9 and above also require a $65 uniform kit, which may be worn in subsequent years.
