____Application for a general scholarship which includes study abroad, internship or research. Please state briefly, but specifically, the purpose of the scholarship and include a budget and the timeframe in which you need the funds. Include the name of the faculty member sponsoring any research for which you are requesting funds.

____Application for the BDIC Bright Idea Scholarship. This is to help develop an entrepreneurship idea or build a company that you may have already started. Please include an essay describing your entrepreneurial idea, as well as a budget projection.

____Application for the Maia Felisse McDermott Scholarship. This is in honor of the memory and goals of a BDIC student whose life was cut short in 2010 before graduation. Maia’s BDIC major was focused in “Broadcast Journalism.” The scholarship recipient will be a person who can demonstrate that their studies and post-academic work will “benefit and inspire others.” Please include an essay describing why you fit this description.

____Application for the Lewis C. Mainzer Award: This is a scholarship intended for a student who demonstrates profound interdisciplinarity by combining the arts with other disciplines, such as political science. Please write an essay describing your BDIC concentration and any other academic activities in which you connect disciplines.
