BASES RECOMMENDED PAY SCALES

The following recommendations are broken down into three categories: A, B and C.

C represents the most experienced individual and A the least experienced.

Please note: All rates provided are VAT exclusive

Biomechanist A:
Qualities: / Hourly rate / Day rate for first 12 days per annum / Day rate for additional days after first 12 days per annum
1.  BASES Support Accredited Biomechanist, or equivalent including Interdisciplinary Accreditation (with evidence of significant experience & practice in Biomechanics). / £24 / £170.40 / £152.40
2.  Four year’s experience (200 days) of working with High Performance athletes, senior or junior, including those with disabilities, and coaches in Biomechanics.
Biomechanist B:
Qualities:
1.  BASES Support Accredited Biomechanist, or equivalent including Interdisciplinary Accreditation (with evidence of significant experience & practice in Biomechanics). / £36 / £272.40 / £237.60
2.  Six year’s (minimum 300 days) experience of working with High Performance athletes, senior or junior, including those with disabilities, and coaches in Biomechanics.
Biomechanist C:
Qualities:
1.  BASES Support Accredited Biomechanist, or equivalent including Interdisciplinary Accreditation (with evidence of significant experience & practice in Biomechanics). / £48 / £480 / £360
2.  Ten year’s experience of working with High Performance athletes, senior or junior, including those with disabilities, and coaches in Biomechanics.

SPORTS BIOMECHANIST

SPORTS PHYSIOLOGIST

Physiologist A:
Qualities: / Hourly rate / Day rate for first 12 days per annum / Day rate for additional days after first 12 days per annum
1.  BASES Support Accredited Physiologist, or equivalent including Interdisciplinary Accreditation (with evidence of significant experience & practice in Physiology). / £24 / £170.40 / £152.40
2.  Four year’s experience of working with High Performance athletes, senior or junior, including those with disabilities, and coaches in Sports Physiology.
Physiologist B:
Qualities:
1.  BASES Support Accredited Physiologist for a minimum of six years, or equivalent including Interdisciplinary Accreditation (with evidence of significant experience & practice in Physiology). / £36 / £272.40 / £237.60
2.  Six year’s experience of working with High Performance athletes, senior or junior, including those with disabilities, and coaches in Sports Physiology.
Physiologist C:
Qualities:
1.  BASES Support Accredited Physiologist for a minimum of ten year’s, or equivalent including Interdisciplinary Accreditation (with evidence of significant experience & practice in Physiology). / £48 / £480 / £360
2.  Ten year’s experience of working with High Performance athletes, senior or junior, including those with disabilities, and coaches in Sports Physiology.

SPORTS PSYCHOLOGIST

Psychologist A:
Qualities: / Hourly rate / Day rate for first 12 days per annum / Day rate for additional days after first 12 days per annum
1.  BASES Support Accredited Psychologist, or equivalent including Interdisciplinary Accreditation (with evidence of significant experience & practice in Psychology). / £24 / £170.40 / £152.40
2.  Four year’s experience of working with High Performance athletes, senior or junior, including those with disabilities, and coaches in Sport Psychology.
Psychologist B:
Qualities:
1.  BASES Support Accredited Psychologist for a minimum of six year’s, or equivalent including Interdisciplinary Accreditation (with evidence of significant experience & practice in Psychology). / £36 / £272.40 / £237.60
2.  Six year’s experience of working with High Performance athletes, senior or junior, including those with disabilities, and coaches in Sports Psychology.
Psychologist C:

SPORTS NUTRITIONIST

Nutritionist A:

1.  Four year’s practising State-Registered Dietician, or equivalent. / £24 / £170.40 / £152.40
2.  Sports Nutrition Foundation Accredited Sports dietician or Recognised sports Nutritionist, or equivalent.
Nutritionist B:
Qualities:
1.  Six year’s practising State-Registered Dietician, or equivalent. / £36 / £272.40 / £237.60
2.  Sports Nutrition Foundation Accredited Sports dietician or Recognised sports Nutritionist, or equivalent.
Nutritionist C:
Qualities:
1.  Ten year’s practising State-Registered Dietician, or equivalent. / £48 / £480 / £360
