Coordinator - Medicaid

Qualifications

/ Bachelor's Degree from an accredited educational institution.
/ Five years of experience with Medicaid and related programs preferred.
/ Valid Florida Driver License.

Job Goal
Responsible for the coordination and implementation of Medicaid Administrative Outreach, Medicaid Fee for Service and TANF.
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
Ability to interact professionally with school and District level personnel, administrators, parents and other professional personnel. Ability to understand and follow current guidelines for Brevard Schools, Medicaid and TANF regulating the implementation of the billing process. Ability to demonstrate proficiency in oral and written presentation. Ability to keep abreast of new guidelines, practices and regulations. Be familiar with Medicaid compliance and Quality Assurance Standards. Must be able to travel to various locations throughout the District.
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:
Essential Functions
/ Coordinate Medicaid – Administrative Claiming Process.
/ Develop Medicaid Fee for Service/Direct Billing procedures for Speech Pathology, Audiology, Assistive Technology, Occupational and Physical Therapy Services, Psychological, Social, and Behavioral Services, Transportation, Mental Health Services.
/ Develop, coordinate and implement on-going staff development related to programs.
/ Act as District Medicaid contact for Department of Education, Medicaid Regional Office.
/ Coordinate and monitor the Medicaid services eligibility guidelines for the district processes.
/ Establish procedures for accessing of TANF (Temporary Assistance for Needy Families) through the school system with a focus on children’s Mental Health and Substance Abuse Program.
/ Manage the billing process for both Medicaid and TANF.
/ Act as a liaison for Medicaid fiscal issues with outside agencies, local offices, and county and state offices.
/ Ensure that all policies and regulations for Brevard Schools, Medicaid and TANF are maintained.
/ Maintain documents and records.
/ Participate in continuous improvement activities within the Exceptional Education Department.
/ Manage assigned projects to meet timeliness and budgets.
/ Assist in grant writing and other determined initiatives to generate additional revenue for ESE classes.
/ Provide outstanding customer service, and use positive interpersonal communication skills.
/ Make all decisions and perform all tasks in accordance with Brevard Public Schools’ Organizational Values.
/ Ensure compliance with Board rules and applicable federal laws and regulations.
