Atlanta based Regional Sales Manager

The Dalton Convention Center and Visitors Bureau is accepting applications for the position of Regional Sales Manager. This position will be home based in Atlanta and responsible for booking mid-week meeting business primarily into the Dalton Convention Center in Dalton Georgia. Candidate must possess a creative sales approach, display a high level of initiative, determine best markets to pursue, and driven to succeed. Candidate will maintain a professional appearance, be able to adapt to change, and work well independently. Good writing, speaking, organizational, computer, telephone, and problem solving skills are required. Preferred candidate will possess a diploma from an accredited college/university with a degree in Marketing, Public Relations, or Hospitality Management. At least 5 years of recent Atlanta area hospitality sales experience desired.

A current driver’s license and dependable transportation will be necessary. A computer will be provided while candidate will need a smart phone and other office equipment. Salary is negotiable with an incentive and commission program included. Expense account provided for authorized business expenses. Work hours are generally Monday thru Friday form 8:30am-5:00pm however some evenings and weekends will be necessary to be successful.
