i. Finish Character Design Project 1: Rough Drawing phase, single view, preparation for final line
ii. Continue Character Design Project 2: Thumbnail drawing phase
4.) Week 4:

i. Orthographic Drawings/Turnaround Drawings
ii. Final Cleanup- Line quality
iii. Character Size Comparisons
b. In Class:
i. Begin Final line drawing on Character Design – Project 1
ii. Continue Character Design Project 2: Thumbnail drawing phase

i. Finalize Character Design Project 1: Final Line Drawing
ii. Finalize Character Design Project 2: Preparation for Rough drawing phase
5.) Week 5:

i. Begin Character Design Project 2: Rough Design
ii. Reference for Prop design
iii. Prop Design
c. Homework Assignment:
i. Finalize your reference packets for your props
ii. Print out your prop reference. Please have available for all of your classes beginning with week 6
iii. Finalize Character Design Project 2: Rough Designs (for 2 of your 3 characters)
iv. Continue thumbnail drawings for your 3 props in preparation of your rough drawing phase.
6.) Week 6:
a. Lecture: No Scheduled Lecture

i. Still life drawing assignment – Expanding your minds eye
ii. Begin your final line drawings on your Character Design Project 2
iii. Continue your thumbnail drawings for your 3 props in preparation for your rough phase. You must also include a size comparison to your characters
c. Homework Assignment:
i. Complete both of your line drawings on your Character Design Project 2
ii. Begin your rough drawings for your 3 props in preparation for your final clean-up phase. You must also include a size comparison to your characters
7.) Week 7:
a. Lecture:
i. Introduction to Environment Design
b. In Class:
i. Continue your rough drawings for each of your 3 props, in preparation for your final line drawings. You must include a final size comparison between each of your props compared to your characters.
ii. Begin Environment Design (Min. 5 thumbnail sketches)
c. Homework Assignment:
i. Begin your Final line drawing on your 3 prop drawings.
ii. Continue your 5 thumbnail sketches for your environment design studies.
8.) Week 8:
a. Lecture:

i. Finalize the line drawing for each of your 3 props.
ii. Select one of your environment thumbnail drawings and begin detailed rough drawing.
c. Homework Assignment:
i. Continue rough environment drawing phase.
9.) Week 9:

ii. Lighting: Natural vs. Artificial lighting: Principals behind how light works
iii. Lighting Demo: Artificial and Natural

ii. Continue rough environment drawing phase

ii. Finalize rough environment drawing phase in preparation for final line drawing
10.) Week 10:

i. Basic Color Theory
ii. Color pallets
iii. Stylistic applications in color

i. Begin Final Line drawing of your environment. Final drawing must include character scale indication.
ii. Matching flat styles in color (technical assignment
c. Homework Assignment:
i. Finalize the line drawing of your environment. Final drawing must include character scale indication.
ii. Lighting Pass
iii. Continue Matching flat styles in color assignment.
11.) Week 11:
