Please note Carer Permits are for Domiciliary Care ONLY being delivered from carers/organisations that live outside of the parking zone but need to park within the zone to deliver home visit support.

Domiciliary Care for these purposes is help with personal care and assistance with other practical household tasks, in the home of the person(s) receiving care.

Carer Permits do not cover vehicles for; deliveries, transporting people to appointments, office work, meetings/training, office administration and GP/surgery attendance within the parking zone, and similar.

1.  This form should be used where on-street parking is required in Permitted Parking bays (Residents only or shared bays) in the Gloucestershire Parking zones for the purposes of carrying out domiciliary care.

2.  A “Care Organisation” as referred to in this application is defined as a statutory, commercial or charitable organisation or authority that carries out domiciliary care.

3.  Domiciliary Care is help with personal care and other practical household tasks.

4.  Permits are valid for 12 months from the date of issue and can be renewed by application to Gloucestershire County Council for use in Gloucestershire. No reminders will be sent.

5.  Permits may only be used in the residential parking zones in Gloucestershire indicated on the permit. Permits are not valid for exemption from any other parking restrictions (yellow lines pay & display bays) or car parks in the Gloucestershire area.

6.  Carer Permits are not valid for; deliveries, transporting people to appointments, office work and GP/surgery attendance within the parking zone.

7.  Permits must be managed on a daily basis by the person completing the application form. That person shall make all professionals who use the permits fully aware of the terms and conditions of use.

8.  Permits are issued virtually and the registration number(s) stored electronically.

9.  Vehicles must be parked entirely within the limits of the marked out parking area.

10. All vehicles using permits must be parked in accordance with the “Gloucestershire County Council (Prohibition and Restriction of Waiting and Loading and Parking Places) Order 2017.

11. All permits remain the property of Gloucestershire County Council, who retain the right to withdraw it when not used in accordance with these Terms and Conditions.

12. Misuse of a permit, forging or possessing a forged permit, or making a false statement for the issue of a permit are all offences carrying a substantial fine.

13. Additional Terms and Conditions may be incorporated into the issue letter.
