Teaching Assistants

Salary: NJC SCP 15-17, £13,729 - £14,327 per annum pro-rata’d to part time hours

Term Time (39 weeks). 32.5 hours per week (over 5 days)

Start Date: 2nd November 2015 or Sooner (Fixed Term Contact until 31/08/2016)

Oasis Academy Shirley Park is an all-through academy for students ages three to nineteen. The academy forms part of Oasis Community Learning which is a multi–academy sponsor growing extensively across the UK.

We are looking for key individuals to contribute to a continuously progressive Secondary phase, which is Ofsted rated Outstanding in all four categories. Led by a dedicated Principal and senior leadership team, the successful candidate will have an opportunity to develop within an exciting and creative curriculum and be part of a highly motivated team which prides itself on its collaborative working practices, transforming learning and positive outcomes for all students. This role complements the professional work of teachers by taking responsibility for agreed learning activities under an agreed system of supervision, supported by the direction from teaching staff/ Curriculum Leaders and Learning Zone Leaders, in line with academy policies and guidance. This involves planning, preparing and delivering learning activities for individuals / groups in the classroom or outside the main teaching area and monitoring pupils, assessing, recording and reporting on student achievement, progress and development.
