ALL THINGS LATIN SCAVENGER HUNT

1. You are to located items on the following lists. Most items can be found through local businesses (supermarkets, restaurants, pet stores, etc) or in your home

2. When the item is located, photograph or videotape the student(s) holding the object, standing in proximity of the item, or participating in the activity. The student(s) and the item must be in the picture.

3. After all items are photographed, the student(s) will put together a folder in an organized way. Each item and its point value must be written above, below, or beside the picture. The student(s) must verbally identify each item that is being videotaped.

4. Each item is assigned a point value. Grades are determined by the number of points the student(s) collects-one grade point for each item point-up to 100. For each additional 10 points collected, two bonus points will be awarded. A maximum of 120 will be awarded.

5. Realizing that most students do not drive and that parents are very busy; student may work together in pairs in order to share transportation.

6. Photo processing is the student’s responsibility. Most places offer one hour developing anywhere from $5-$10.

7. DON’T LEAVE THIS TO THE LAST MINUTE!!!

ALTERNATIVE ASSIGNMENT

1. Choose items whose total value equals 75 points

2. Using encyclopedias, periodicals, internet or any other sources, briefly describe the history, location, and function of each item. DO NOT PLAGARIZE!!

3. Clip from a magazine, print from the internet, or draw and color the chosen item and organize them with the appropriate point value into a folder.

4. Grades will be determined on the point value, the descriptions, and the organization of the folder (25 points)
