Greetings from all at Shristi!
We reallyhad excellent response from the Diwali Sales at Corporates.Our personal thanks to the individuals whoinitiated the same in the variousCorporates andreached out to us with warmth. Once again we are overwhelmed by the generosity of each employee who purchased products during the sales.
The total amount of Sales this year is Rs.1,89, 434/- (details mentioned below). The cost of Raw materials & overhead expenses was Rs. 1,29434/- the Profit is Rs.60,000/-whichwill be used for paying the stipend of the children in the Sheltered Workshop for 06 months x Rs.10,000/-
We must acknowledge the untimelyeffort, excellent team work and co-ordination amongst the staff andchildren that we were able to have a varietyof products,having closed for Dassera and reopened on 4th October '06& started Sales on 9th October '06.Children from all Units joined hands to support their friendsinmaking the products which theytruly enjoyed. ( the pottery items are alwaysoutsourced, sureyou all do understand that the children cannot make these items.Painting, decorationsanddesign work of mst of the pottery items was doneby the children of Shristi).
Once again all the children and staff of Shristi would like to thank our friendsGanga Sharma, Mr.Krishnamurthy Nagarajan, Hegde, Nandini Venkateshmurthy, Srideviand all at HP, Beverly and team of Motorola, Roshiniand team of Accenture, Manimala, Vandana, and all at iflex, Sandeep Rao & Sijiand team of Sapient,Roopa Vinod at CISCO,Neethaof TCS,Sujaya of TCE, Padmavathy- Proactive net & for Nidhi apts.Swetha of Tech Mahindra (a new contact),Rani & children from Embassy School, Magadi Road, and not forgeting each and everyone who contributed generously to buy products made by our special children. Not forgetingALL OUR INDIVIDUAL FRIENDS AND WELL WISHERS FROM THE CORPORATE WORLD, without whospecialthings for the special children will not happen. Thanks once again!!
