Great Lakes Research Assignment

Now that you have spent some time learning about freshwater and the Great Lakes you should have a clear indication that there are many concerns dealing with the environment in and around these enormous bodies of freshwater. Your task is to research an issue concerning the Great Lakes’ Ecosystems, and report on your findings.

Topics for this assignment may include:

Invasive Species State of Lake Erie Pollution and Micro-plastics

Areas of Concern Lake Huron Water levels Protected Areas

There are also many others. However, you will be focusing on only these six topics.

In your report include:

(1) An introduction to the issue

(2) A summary of the main concerns regarding the topic

(3) What is being done about the issue/who is helping to implement a resolution?

(4) Any other additional relevant information

(5) maps, pictures

(6)A formal title page (no pictures or fancy font)

(7) A properly formatted bibliography (simply listing websites used is not good enough)

(8) roughly 1000 words (4 pages typed, doubled spaced, size 12 font)
