OBJECTIVE

·  The Ohio State University, National Security Education Program Chinese Flagship Program (K-12)

- Graduate Research Assistantship: Provided support to the K-12 Chinese Flagship Program Director on corporate relations projects and on the daily needs of the program. These projects include designing and creating funding proposals for potential investors, designing and compiling newsletters for the program. My position became that of a liaison between corporate partners, Advisory Board members and our department.

-  Research Assistant: Provided research support on projects involving the Chinese Automotive, Agricultural and Healthcare industries and used this information to create presentations for international investors.

·  Robert Marsel, Professor of Business Law, University of Redlands, California, August 2006- April 2007.

-  Research Assistant: Conducted research for Professor Marsel on the internment of Japanese Americans and Japanese Nationals in the United States during World War II.

I am a Charter Member of the NLSC, serving as a Chinese-Mandarin speaker and interpreter. The NLSC offers individuals with language expertise the opportunity to help their neighbors and fellow citizens by participating in national and state efforts, particularly in times of emergency or crisis.

·  “Quarters for Kenya” Rotary Project for AIDS Relief September 2006- May 2009

I was responsible for coordinating fund raising events for children orphaned by AIDS in Nairobi, Kenya; specifically the Shepherd’s Home, which is a boarding school and safe house for these children. I organize events such as raffles, collection of meal card money, letter-writing campaigns, community outreach and guest lectures.

Position held: President 2008-2009.

·  Mortarboard National Honor Society September 2008-May 2009

This is a national honor and service society for outstanding seniors. With this organization, I was responsible for organizing community service events for a group of 32 people.

Events: AIDS week (AIDS walk, guest lectures, Party with a Purpose), Tutoring at a local library, volunteering at campus events, coordinating with various campus groups for fundraising purposes.
