1. I am not guaranteed employment nor am I assigned to a job site. It is my responsibility to obtain employment. My coordinator may assist me in securing official employment. My coordinator is the final authority in approving my training station. My coordinator maintains the authority to supervise my training station and finalize agreements between the employer and me. To remain in the program, I must be employed within the first two weeks of the school year.
  1. I must average a minimum of twenty hours on the job per week. Ten of these hours must be worked Monday through Friday. My schoolwork is not to suffer as a result of too many work hours. My conduct and dependability, which are associated with my job, are of mutual concern to my coordinator and my employer. I will remain employed throughout the school year.
  1. I acknowledge that I am not allowed to walk off campus to my residence or to my approved training station. I am responsible for securing my own vehicle transportation to and from my approved training stationor will have an approved guardian pick me up.
  1. I will be consistently present and on time at school and my approved training station. If I am unable to report to school or to work on any given day, I will notify my coordinator and employer as soon as I know or by that day 8:00 am. If I am absent from school, I am not to report to work that day. I am required to personally notify my coordinator via phone call or text at

  1. I am to promptly leave campus by1:05p.m. If for some reason I should require to be on campus after that time, I will sign-in at the front office and obtain the proper pass to remain on campus.
  1. I will inform my coordinator promptly of any problems arising on my job that adversely affect me personally or professionally, and enlist her counsel and assistance.Should I be temporarily unemployed for any reason, I must inform my coordinator within two (2) days. My coordinator will issue special instructions, which I will follow. I will be employed within ten days in an approved training station to remain in the program.
  1. I am not to change jobs without the knowledge and consent of my coordinator. If my job is terminated for any reason, I will notify my coordinator immediately. Any student who is fired from a training station for sufficient reason will receive an “F” for that six weeks and may be dropped from the program.
  1. My employer can require me to work during school holidays. If my work schedule must be modified for any reason, I will notify my employer and my coordinator in advance and abide by the decision of my coordinator and my employer.
  1. I will abide by the rules and regulations of the work program, school, and employer. I will be honest and productive at all times. I must attend school regularly according to LosFresnosHigh School policy in the student handbook.
  1. I am to display proper grooming and dress to the satisfaction of my school, coordinator, and employer.
  1. School suspension (off or on campus) for any reason will adversely affect my Career Preparation course work and I can be removed from the program.
  1. I understand that program contests and other official leadership activities are integral part of my Career Preparation, and I will be required to participate as directed by my employer and coordinator.
  1. I must satisfactorily complete both the classroom portion and the job-training portion of the program in order to receive credit. I acknowledge that I must keep a professional portfolio which includes: Bi-Weekly Reports, copies of payroll checks or a copy of the Statement of Earnings, and Employment Evaluation Forms. Excellent school and job attendance as well as behavior will enhance my grade and earning power.
  1. As a cooperative work student, I am seen in the community as a representative of LosFresnosHigh School. Any misconduct while at a training station becomes a matter of school policy during the school year.
  1. My failure to comply with any conditions of this student agreement may result in loss of grade(s) and/or credit(s), and I may be scheduled out of the course.
