9 STEPS TO SHOW HOW WE PROCESS YOUR UCAS APPLICATION

1.  You submit your application through UCAS between September and 15 January. It is important that you are aware that applications received after 15 January will be classed as ‘late’ applications and equal consideration does not have to be given unless we have vacancies for the course you are interested in.

2.  Your application is received by the University within a few days of you applying through UCAS.

3.  Your application is passed to the relevant Admissions Tutor for shortlisting and this can take up to 2 weeks but may take longer during busy periods

4.  Due to the limited number of places available, based on health and social services workplace planning requirements, not everyone will be successful. However the School and the University may identify you have potential for development and achievement and may therefore give you the opportunity of taking up an offer of an interview within the University.

If you are not successful at shortlisting an unsuccessful decision will be processed and you can view this through UCAS Track. If you would like feedback on this decision please contact our Admissions Office and they will arrange for this to be sent to you.

5.  If you are successful at shortlisting you will be sent an email inviting you to interview, this will include a link to the documents you need to print and bring with you. You can also view this through UCAS Track.

6.  Our interviews normally take place from November through to March and we aim to give at least two weeks’ notice to prepare for the interview but there are times when this is not possible.

7.  If you are unsuccessful within any element of the interview/selection process you will be notified of this decision within four weeks of your interview via UCAS Track.

We aim to process final decisions by the end of April 2018 and you can view this through UCAS Track. However the School and the University may identify you have potential for development and achievement and may therefore give you the opportunity of taking up an

offer of a course within the University and for this reason it is important that you check any offer made through UCAS Track to ensure it is not a change of course offer.

8.  If you have not received an unsuccessful decision within four weeks of your interview this means your application is still being considered as final decisions may not be made until all on time applicants have been interviewed.

9.  If you are unsuccessful following interview and you would like feedback please contact our Admissions Office on 01642 384110 or email and they will arrange for this to be sent to you.
