Left on Jul 15, 2013 for a stay in Jul 2013 4 people found this review helpful We reserved our stay at the Aqua Villa just a week before our trip and found the online paperwork/payment/reservation process (which left us wondering if it was a legit place to stay) a bit confusing but after a quick phone call to a "real" person things smoothed out pretty quickly. We stayed in AV205 and were quite happy (must admit the twin and king beds are a lot more comfy than the double!) The Condo overlooks the beach and pool and is quite convenient to Destin and downtown Ft Walton areas! A Thom Thumb is right next to the Condo for cold drinks, snacks/food, laundry detergent, toys and sunblock and a 1 mile walk by beach gets you to the pier and some really good food. The beach is great and not as crowded as one would expect and a volleyball net is near the building. The pool was clean and refreshing. The only real downside is the strange reservation process and that the building does not appear to be a very dog friendly place to stay- there's very little grass nearby and some pretty strict dog rules. The building is a bit dated but is quite family friendly and a nice place to spend a week or more on the beach!! :)
1/10/09 … AV205 was exactly as presented in your internet information! The accommodations were lovely and the weather cooperated too. We enjoyed our morning walks along the beach and the gorgeous sunsets in the evenings. We told everyone where we were staying because of the location, cleanliness, accessibility, fare, privacy, etc. Yes, when we return we will contact you again to reserve AV205! -Vic & Marti, Canton, TX
3/8/09 … It was GREAT! Our condo was neat and clean-exactly what was advertised. The best was having morning tea looking out at the ocean. Our bedrooms were comfy, the baths very clean. Would recommend this to all. We'll be back. -Judy W

We love being right on the beach and the boys really liked having the pool so close to the room. We also went over and spent a morning on the bay catching hermit crabs and swiming in the bay. 8/11/08 … My family and I just returned from a much needed relaxing vacation. This condo was clean, and just what we needed. We don't like the high rise condos with lots of people cramming the beaches. This was right on the gulf, a great feeling of privacy as there were only a few families on the beach at a time. We loved the easy location and the fact that many things to do were nearby. We took our teenagers parasailing, about five minutes away, went on a sunset sailboat cruise, about 15 minutes away and had dinner on the gulf, about 5 minutes away. Coming back to a quiet condo overlooking the gulf was just perfect. With linens and other necessities provided, we couldn't have asked for a better trip.
