Curriculum

  • Students will learn Spanish language by units throughout the year. For instance, students will learn vocabulary about daily routines/ activities, food, family, school, clothing, and sports. The vocabulary will relate to grammar topics that will allow students to understand the language and practice their communication skills. This Spanish course is meant to have students take advantage of basic situations in which they can communicate using the target language. One of the goals is also to expose students to the different countries that speak Spanish around the world so they can be aware of the cultural differences that fall under one language. This cultural awareness will lead student to be part of the global connections of our modern world.Practice is my favorite word when talking about learning a new language, so homework would be part of the course as well as quizzes as tools to reinforce what we do in class.
