Sealex, Inc., a manufacturer of pre-cured sealants and adhesives, announced today that Inc. Magazine has ranked the company as one of the fastest-growing private companies in America. The 2012 Inc. 5000 was announced on August 21, 2012, covering sales revenue of high growth privately held companies through the calendar year ending December 31, 2011. Sealex, Inc. earned the rank of 178 out of the top manufacturing companies on the Inc. 5000 and was ranked 4,245 on the overall list with a three-year sales growth of 29%. This is the fourth time that Sealex, Inc. has been recognized on the Inc. 5,000 list. The Inc. 5000 includes the Inc. 500 but digs deeper to offer the most comprehensive look ever at the entrepreneurial engine driving the U.S. economy.

“We are honored to be included on the Inc. 5000 list this year for the fourth time. The dedication of the Sealex team to provide quality pre-cured sealants and adhesives while focusing on strong customer service has allowed us to achieve this success during these particularly challenging economic times,” said Jason Bakus, vice president of Sealex, Inc. “We look forward to continued success in the future.”

"Now, more than ever, we depend on Inc. 500/5000 companies to spur innovation, provide jobs, and drive the economy forward. Growth companies, not large corporations, are where the action is,” says Inc. Editor Eric Schurenberg.

Methodology

The 2012 Inc. 500|5000 is ranked according to percentage revenue growth when comparing 2008 to 2011. To qualify, companies must have been founded and generating revenue by March 31, 2008. They had to be U.S.-based, privately held, for profit, and independent—not subsidiaries or divisions of other companies—as of December 31, 2011. (Since then, a number of companies on the list have gone public or been acquired.) The minimum revenue required for 2008 is $100,000; the minimum for 2011 is $2 million. As always, Inc. reserves the right to decline applicants for subjective reasons. Companies on the Inc. 500 are featured in Inc.’s September issue. They represent the top tier of the Inc. 5000, which can be found at www.inc.com/500.
