8:00 P.M. – Regular Board Meeting – At the Senior Center. Pledge of Allegiance

Meeting called to order by Supervisor John Trowbridge.

Members Present: Grant Burgess, Bob Conely, Tracy Holbrook, Dick McPhailand John Trowbridge. Deputy: Gene Burgess, Bruce Potter and KatherineWilson

Guest Present: Jim Ruby– County Commissioner, Thomas Lupo – Assessor,Dennis Wilkins, Lydia Campbell (Checking on Cemetery Stones), Bruce McCumons (Sign @ Omard Church)

Jim Ruby – County Commissioner – See Attached. August 16, 16 @ 1 p.m., the County Commissioners are recognizing Gene & Bruce for their time as Township Officials. County tire recycling @ Croswell Fair Grounds, 9-17-16, 9 – noon.

Thomas Lupo – Road Millage Passed, 1 mill/4 years. Operating is 0.7802 mills. AMAR inspection coming up.

Motion by B. Conely seconded by D. McPhail to accept the L-4029 report. Approved.

Old Business

Master Plan: Started – Continue to work on.

Neighborhood watch signs. Update where needed to be completed.

Electrical Switch Hookup for power outage. Not completed yet.

Picnic Tables (3) - $200 each – should be completed this month. Jim Potter has the branding iron with a circle & P inside.

Nature Center enforcement report. Because the Township has a N.C. Ordinance, there is not much they can do, the Twp. must enforce the rules. May want to talk to the Sheriff and/or the Prosecuting Attorney.

Bailey Road culvert replacement is about 2 weeks out. Cam Keesler will take the old culvert and move it for $1,500 total.

No time frame on the Montgomery Road culvert.

Motion by G. Burgess seconded by D. McPhail to accept the update of the Sr. Center rental agreement. Approved.

Motion by G. Burgess seconded by D. McPhail to deduct $25 from Melisa McCombs $50 Sr. Center reimbursement for not cleaning up after use. (Cake of the floor. Window drapes broken. Foot print on kitchen counter.) Approved.

Brine: Spot Application-residents/intersections. Start grading and brine when we get rain.

New Business

Motion by D. McPhail seconded by G. Burgess to approve the July minutes as presented. Approved.

Motion by D. McPhail seconded by T. Holbrook to approve the August bills of $4,971.40. Approved.

Motion by G. Burgess seconded byD. McPhail to accept the Treasurers Balance Sheet as of 7-31-16. Approved.

Motion by D. McPhail seconded by G. Burgess for Roger Wood to spray the Omard cemetery for $300. Approved.

Motion by G. Burgess seconded by D. McPhail to approve the ditch cleanout for Andy Yoder, Maple Valley Road and Willis Road. Cost is $1,830 divided 3 ways (County, Township, Property Owner-$610 each). Approved

Motion by G. Burgess seconded by D. McPhail sell the Wheat at North Branch. Approved.

Discussed: Mice problem notice at Peck & Isles Rds., MTA Training, 4-H to clean up around park/buildings on 9-24-16.
