Sanction and Eligibility: A USATT 1 Star Tournament. All current USATT members eligible to enter. Present proof of membership when registering or purchase at the following rates: Adult: 1 year $49; 3years $130; Junior (under 18) 1 year $25. Household 1 year $90, Collegiate $25

Saturday, 10AM Sharp - Event #1 – Meltdown in 3 rounds to 8 classes (Championship, A, B, C, D, E, F & G) with each class having a potential of 6 players who will be placed in round robins. All will advance to the finals of their class. All have a potential of 6 matches. If there are less than 48 players most will get 6 matches and a few 5 matches. All undefeated players will enter Championship round.

Saturday – 2:30 PM enter only one event at this starting time

Event #2 Open Singles – A single elimination event with a Consolation Bracket.

Event #3 Under 1700 – A single elimination event with a Consolation Bracket.

Event #4 Under 1200 – A single elimination event with a Consolation Bracket.

Saturday – 3:30 PM enter only one event at this starting time

Event #5 Under 2000 – A single elimination event with a Consolation Bracket.

Event #6 Under 1500 – A single elimination event with a Consolation Bracket.

Event #10 Ping Pong Singles - Event is for those not interested in playing in a sanctioned event. You do not have to be a member of the USATT to participate. It is played for bragging rights, yet is competitive and fun. Limited to non USATT players.

Event #9 Under age 14 event – Not sanctioned for beginning youth

(Doubles entry deadline is 1:30 PM on the day of the tournament.)

Entry Fees: Events: #1 $25; #2 $15; #3 through #10 $7 for each event, Facility Fee $2, Singles Rating Fee $7 (one time fee, covers ratings for all events 1 through 6).

Equipment: Only USATT approved equipment will be used. Balls: 40mm, 3 Star, white. Tables: Stiga Prestige 1", Butterfly Match . There will be a minimum of 8 tables, more if needed. ITTF Approved Net sets.

Rules: All USATT regulations apply in all respects, including clothing and rackets. No predominately white clothing as white balls will be used. All matches best of 5 games.

Venue: The Abilene Parks and Recreation Department is very proud of their facility that we will be using. It is large enough for two full sized basketball courts and is Air Conditioned. There will not be a scheduled lunch break. The floors are wood and the lighting is at High School Gym level. There will be four tables with a minimum court of 20' x 40' and balance with a minimum of 15 x 35. The format of all events is subject to change dependent on the number of players.

Venue Restrictions: Shoes worn in competition must NOT have been worn as street shoes and must be regular court shoes that have NON-MARKING soles. No Alcoholic beverages are permitted. Only non-breakable and sealable beverage containers are allowed in the gym.

Entry Deadline and Restrictions: Entries for singles must be received by July 10, 2013. Event #1 (Meltdown) is limited to 48 players, an alternate list to be maintained with alternates notified. Doubles deadline is 1:30 PM the day of the tournament. (If you send your doubles entry without a partner your name will be placed on a list showing partners needed.) Entry fees (minus $5) will be refunded on cancellations received by 8PM July 10, 2013. You are limited to one event with the same scheduled starting time.

Registration: Opens at 8:15 AM, Closes at 9:30 AM for Meltdown. Practice ends at 9:40AM with announcements and play starts at 10 AM sharp. Saturday afternoon players not in the Meltdown should be registered by 1PM.

Directions: Location: 1020 NW 8th, Abilene, KS. Community Center: From the east and west take exit #275 off I70. Proceed south on Buckeye Avenue to the third stoplight, turn west (right) on NW 7th Street. From the north or south take K15 (Buckeye Ave.) into town to NW 7th Street. Turn west approximately 10 blocks to Community Center (as 7th goes west it curves and becomes 8th).
