The amounts listed should be enough for the whole school year:

  • 2-3 mechanical #2 pencils and plenty #2 lead refill OR

Several packs of#2 pencils (have 2-3 in pencil case in class at all times)

and a manual pencil sharpener (with receptacle for shavings)

  • One sturdy pencil case, pouch, or bag
  • Three large erasers (pink or white) (have only 1 in your pencil case at all times)
  • One 12-pack blue or black ballpoint pens (only 2 in your pencil case at all times)
  • One 12-pack red ballpoint pens (have only 2 in your pencil case at all times)
  • 3 Packs of white loose-leaf notebook paper (have only 20 sheets at a time in backpack in folder)
  • 4 Pocket Folders for graded work (black or purplefor math, green for history, yellow for science, and a blueone to hold loose-leaf paper) The vinyl or plastic ones are sturdier and will last all year.
  • 7 One-subject spiral or center-sewn composition notebooks (each MUST be no larger than 70-80 pages) Do not get neatbooks; the pages fall out!College-ruled is preferred, but not required.

(for math one black orpurple, for English 2 blue, for history 2 green, for science 2 yellow)

  • One mini stapler and staples
  • One correction tape (not liquid)
  • Two highlighters (any color; yellow preferred) (Keep one of these in your pencil case.)
  • Colored pencils
  • Apps to download (not required): Schoology, Quizlet, Kahoot!, scientific calculator, Googledrive, Google docs

Many parents often approach us asking how they can assist in the classroom. Here are some ideas on how you can help by donating. We can always use the following items:

  • Office Depot and/or Staples Gift Cards (used to buy classroom items such as ink, glue sticks, student scissors, any items that students need for projects, and etc.)
  • Kleenex (big, thick and strong-no lotion)
  • Cleansing Wipes (to sanitize the tables)
  • White or Colored Copy Paper (500 sheets in a ream)
  • Expo Dry Erase Thick Low Odor Markers
  • Lead Refills (0.7mm, 0.5mm, or 0.9mm)
  • New white socks (a green alternative to white board erasers)
  • Paper Towels
  • Baby Wipes

No permanent markers or liquid white out are allowed!
Note: As students run out of supplies during the year please make sure they are replenished.
