Why am I receiving a bill when my student doesn’t go to camp until later in the school year?

We send out camp bills starting in September so you have a chance to pay off this amount in

increments. You do not need to pay this all at once. If you do pay and for some reason your

child does not attend camp, a refund will be given.

Do I need to pay this all at once?

No, you do not need to pay this all at once. You can make payments. We will send out a bill monthly with your new balance due. Tear off the top part of the bill and mail this in with your payment monthly. The district would like all camp bills paid by December 31, 2011.

Is there any financial help?

Yes, Scholarships are limited and reserved for students on the Free or Reduced Lunch program and families with financial hardships. You would need to complete a Camp Scholarship Application form. You need to get this application directly from your school. The maximum amount of the scholarship is $140.00. Once you complete the application, return it to your student’s school for the appropriate signatures. Once approved by the school, they will forward to Ron Ramspott, director of the camp program, for his approval. Once he approves, he will forward to me to credit your account. This credit will reflect on your next monthly bill. A $40.00 good faith payment is required when you turn in this application.

What if I receive a bill and my child did not attend camp or will not be attending camp?

Contact the school directly. Have the camp director or one of the 6th grade teachers email Janet Bova Conti in Finance,

so she can remove the charge. The charge will not be removed unless an email is received by the school indicating the

student did not go to camp.

You can pay by check, cashier’s check, money order, cash or credit card. We now have the capability to handle credit card payments.
