Project

To supply YHA with:

1 information Map Panel

SWCP team will provide an individual A1 information map panel (594mmby 841mm) in size in the style of the standard SWCP panels for Land’s End, Beer, Perranporth, and the Lizard. They will be produced on 3mm Dibond with an anti-graffiti vinyl lamination. It will be supplied with fixing screws for wall mounting.

The map panels will be headed- Walks on and around the South West Coast Path from each of the YHA’s and they will include a panel for YHA Branding, logo and strap line.

The panels will consist of a central OS Map ideally covering the coastline in the immediate vicinity of each YHA and will show a selection of walks starting from each YHA.

The information map panels will include logos of the EEC and DEFRA and will also include information about the National Trust.

YHA will be asked to agree final proofs before production.

2 Walks leaflets

SWCP will provide individual PDF’s for each of the walks shown on the map boards in a printer friendly format so that YHA can print off for their customers. The walks will be branded in association with WDLH and will start each YHA.

These walks leaflets will contain detailed instructions to guide visitors around the walks, information about points of interest to be found on the walk, and a map ( Harveys Map).

3 Links to YHA Web-site

SWCP team will supply the web content for the walks shown on the map board. These can be pasted into a new page on the YHA web site.

4.Funding

WDLH will give £1800 + VAT to the South West Coast Path Association, a registered charity for the project. This will be invoiced in March.

SWCPA has formally agreed to hold money for projects on behalf of SWCP team. The money will be held in a YHA restricted fund and will be spent on the production of the board and on improvements to the SWCP in the Land’s end area.

YHA agrees to ask for a donation of 50p, or more if appropriate, per walks leaflet which they will collect and donate the profit to the SWCPA for improvement to the SWCP in the surrounding area.

5 Completion of the project

It is intended that the map board will be available for Easter 2012 or shortly thereafter

6 South West Coast Path Supporter

SWCPT will invite YHA to become an official supporter of the South West Coast Path.
