Cattle sold well short of buyers requirements at increased rates. Heifers topped at 142p per kilo for a quality Limousin from A & E Vance, Bridgehouse, Whithorn selling to Messrs Donaldson, Butchers, West Kilbride. Topping the Bullocks was Messrs Strain, North Garphar, Ballantrae selling at quality Charolais at 136.5p per kilo to Messrs Picken, Butchers, Ayr.

Beef Cows sold to £760 for a Limousin Cross off Glenturk or 108.1p per kilo for a Limousin off Nether Ardroscadale. Dairy Cows topped at £580 for Friesians off Muir and Newlands or 81.3p per kilo for a Friesian off Meadowpark.
