5 Florida men get prison for plotting terrorist attacks with al Qaeda

In June 2006, seven people were arrested for allegedly planning on blowing up major buildings in Miami, Florida. Some of these buildings included the Sears Tower, which has 110 stories, and the Miami FBI office. They were working with the al Qaeda terrorist group. The main suspected leader is Narseal Batiste. He got sentenced 13½ years of jail and then 35 years of supervision after he gets released.

I am very surprised that an American would even think of blowing up an important figure in the US. While I read the article, I remembered about the effects of the bombings of 9-11. I also remembered when the subways blew up underground in England on July 7th 2005. I learned that some Americans would try and destroy their own country not caring about the consequences others would have.

I wonder if there are any other plots to bomb other buildings in the USA. If they do, will they strike soon to avenge the jailing of their fellow terrorists? And if they do, where will they bomb?

This article relates to my topic because it has to do with terrorism. The al Qaeda is a famous terrorist group that is run by Osama bin Laden. They planned the bombings on 9-11.
