Parent-teacher conferences are coming up! Please fill out the attached form and return to Mrs. Robottom by October 13th. Pick three different choices. Please note the first letters in, get first choice.

Students should continue working on the “Pumpkin Book Report”. It should be based on a mystery book. Please let me know if you can’t find one. Attached is a letter for further information. The report is due on October 27th. The presentations will be on October 30th. Please note this book report replaces the reading log for October.

We will continue reading Charlie and the Chocolate Factory by Roald Dahl.

We will take the 4s times tables (0-4) math test for on Friday, October 13th. In addition, IXL will account for 50% of the homework grade. Please ensure that it is being completed for maximum success.

In science, we will focus on the food chain. Please check the PowerPoint on ecosystems/food chains on Mrs. Ramirez’s website. In history, we will discuss Christopher Columbus.

We will start writing to our Pen Pals in the other 4th grade this week, Our pen pal party will be scheduled for October 31st.

Our first field trip is scheduled for Friday, October 13th. We will be going to the Santa Monica Pier Aquarium at 10:00 am and are set to return between 2:50-3:00 pm. Students must be in their IVY uniform. If pants are worn, they must be able to be rolled up. Students must wear old tennis shoes and bring a sweater. All lunches must be in a paper bag. No electronics. The parent volunteers have been chosen. Please turn in the field trip form if you will be attending the field trip.
