Career Highlights

Fastenal Northeast Distribution Center, Jessup, Pennsylvania

Several Job Titles, August 2008 – August 2015

In my seven year tenure with Fastenal, I have worked in the Receiving and Order Picking departments; with nine months experience as an Assistant Department Manager in Order Picking and over two years experience as a Department Lead for Receiving. I also occupied the position of Distribution Center Safety & Quality Control for a period of eight months, where I implemented and communicated several policies to employees and managers and was responsible for enforcement of safety regulations and procedures as well as enforcement of Quality Assurance procedures including the 5S program, the 6 Sigma program and Lean Principles.

Master Halco Inc., Scranton, Pennsylvania

Facility Maintenance Technician, May 2007 – January 2008

My position with Master Halco was initially a mutually agreed temporary employment providing building repairs, painting, Information Technology support and assembly of furniture. Impressed by my work ethic, organizational skills and general knowledge of office software, the management team offered me a permanent position as Office Assistant and Troubleshooter under the job title of Facility Maintenance. While there, I designed spreadsheets, created a work order system for the Maintenance Department, which provided traceability of labor for machine repairs, and implemented a filing system that sorted records first by year, then alphabetically by customer name within each year. I do not have access to information required to show a percentage increase in productivity, but it was appreciable and recordable.

Scranton Cooperage, Inc., Jessup, Pennsylvania

Yard Supervisor, November 2001 – January 2007

At Scranton Cooperage I led a team of four employees in the loading and unloading of trucks in the storage yard. I was also directly responsible for maintaining an accurate inventory of drums and intermediate bulk containers comprising a total of nearly 4,000 containers divided across over 30 varieties, as well as inspecting every outgoing container for quality assurance.

While there, I implemented organizational and general work practices that over a twelve month period saw an increase in productivity of 300% measured by trucks unloaded and loaded and product sorted and stored per company policy.
