Orientation

Front

Hold the unit in front of you so that the circular magnifier lens is at the top. There should be a grey switch on the front of the white bottom section. This switch is used to turn the LEDs off and on. Slide it up to turn them on or down to turn them off.

Back

Turn the unit over so that the on/off switch is facing down. On the back of the unit, in the bottom half is the battery cover. Just above this and just below the circular magnifying lens are the two LEDs.

Using the product

Remove the 4-inch hands-free LED magnifier from the packaging and place on a flat steady surface (a table). The unit is powered by 3 AAA batteries, alkaline or rechargeable batteries are recommended.

Install batteries per the battery installation procedure listed in the next section.

Turn the LED light ON & OFF by using the grey power switch located below the magnifier lens.

Battery installation

Your 4-inch hands-free LED magnifier is powered by 3 AAA batteries. Please note that the light output will slowly diminish as the batteries lose energy.

Warning: Keep away from children. If swallowed, promptly see doctor. Do not install backwards, charge, put in fire or mix with other battery types – may explode or leak causing injury.

To install batteries, locate the battery compartment on the side without the switch. You should be able to feel on the main body below the lens a ridged section. This is where the battery compartment is. Pressing this ridged section slightly, slide the battery compartment door away from the 4-inch hands-free LED magnifier’s body towards the feet.

The batteries fit horizontally. Install the 3 batteries as follows:

·  Top battery – positive to the left and negative to the right

·  Middle battery: negative to the left and positive to the right

·  Bottom battery: positive to the left and negative to the right

Replace the battery compartment door by laying it on the open battery compartment and sliding the door towards the body. This will engage the tabs to the compartment; a click should be heard as it locks into place.

Notice: Only replace batteries as a simultaneous set and do not mix with older batteries. Remove batteries if consumed or if the light has not been in use for a long period of time.

Using the magnifier

Hold the magnifier in your hand and place the grey cord around the back of your neck (like a necklace). The magnifier will rest on your chest via the two grey rubber feet at the bottom, leaving your hands completely free.

If you need to lift or lower the magnifier when it’s in place, you can do this by using the small plastic adjuster on the cord.
