  2. TECC – Ella provided info on upcoming workshop and list of awards TECC recently received
  3. TBCN – Louise Thompson shared her and her staff received a total of 11 awards including Executive of the Year award that she received.
  4. Also, that TBCN has provided local non-profits in the last quarter approximately 3.3 million in services and 9.0 for the fiscal year thus far.
  5. TBCN survived the Verizon franchise and that will translate over to Brighthouse, but are currently waiting on the City to complete their negotiations with Verizon.
  6. If the Committee knows of anyone interested in a neighborhood show please have them contact Louise, TBCN would like to spotlight the neighborhoods but would like someone from the local area to moderate the show versus staff.

  2. City of Tampa Mark Flynn – Friday Extra Bandshell will be holding their 20th anniversary special with a theme of “Still playing after all of these years.” It starts March 31, 2006 and plays through April 14, 2006 except City holiday’s posted on CTTV Website.

The cost of the conferences depending on early bird registration will average $1500-$2400 our yearly budget is approximately $3,500. The status of our budget will be verified with Edith (county employee) by Marilyn.

  1. State HB 1199 (franchise fee) please contact members of the committee as well as your state representatives to discuss the impact of bypassing local municipalities on franchising. The local committee members from this area are Bob Henriquez and Arthenia Joyner.
