Objective:
To teach visual art and culture in grades kindergarten through twelve in a school system that values the importance of the arts in their curriculum.
Profile:
I am a licensed visual art teacher, with a strong background in “big idea” art making, visual culture and integrated curriculum. I have the ability to guide students into explorations of art production, criticism, aesthetics, art history and multiculturalism. Through my innovative art lessons, which concentrate on relevant issues, students achieve the skills of critical analysis, aesthetic inquiry, objective reasoning and creativity. My lessons are technologically presented to compete with the electronic media-driven world of the students and to enhance student learning on all levels. I tailor my lessons’ objectives to improve students’ achievement on the OAT.

I enhance the experiences of students in the visual and cultural arts in grades ranging from kindergarten to eighth grade. I have created cross curricular and technology based lessons that improve students' performances on the OAT.
I have worked as part of a small team to develop an innovative Parma City School's middle school art curriculum.
I have supervised an after school art club that has enhanced the atmosphere of our school and reinforced our discipline policy.
I have integrated technology into the art curriculum, thus making the content easier to understand for a variety of learners and at a more cost effective way of teaching.
