We are off to a great start!
It’s hard to believe we are already in October! The staff and students had an exciting startup to the school year and are working extremely hard to make this year the best one yet.
We appreciate your patience as we continue to navigate traffic issues in the morning and during end of day dismissal.
Please feel free to contact us with any question or concerns.

Quick notes:

  • Our Spin-A-Thon fundraiser is taking place Friday October 6th and the students have been busy collecting funds. Thank you for your support.
  • Please note that morning supervision starts at 7:40 AM. For the safety of students, we ask that if you are dropping off your child, to do so only at that time.
  • Please help ensure students are appropriately dressed for the weather so they can enjoy their time outside. There is a chill in the morning air and it may be time to dig out some light gloves and mitts to keep fingers warm.
  • As a number of our students suffer from severe allergies, please refrain from sending in food containing nut products.
  • Soccer season for boys and girls has started and we are very proud of both teams. Cross Country runners are also working hard and meet every Wednesday at Centennial Park.

Dear Parents and Guardians-

What is a spin-a-thon?–A fundraising event that is organized very similarly to a walk-a-thon. Instead of walking, participants are spinning on stationary bikes to raise money for Shediac Cape school. Last year our spin-a-thon was a huge success so we are hoping that this year will be as well!!!

What we are raising money for? To increase technology for student use in our new learning commons. Please note – 100% of the funds go back to better the school for our students.

When we will be holding our Spin-a-thon? Friday October 6thfrom 8:30 -12:30

8:30-9:00 - 4 & 5 Immersion (Basque & Shaw)

9:05-9:35 - K classes (White & O’Brien)

9:40 - 10:10 - 1 & 3 Immersion (Lamontagne & Laporte)

10:15 - 10:40 – 2/3 -3/4 (MacLean & Glidden)

10:45-11:15 1/2 & 2 (Dixon & Jolicoeur)

11:20- 11:50 5 English (Barriault & Middle school immersion)

12:00- 12:30- Middle school English

How will this work? – all the classes will be coming down to the front parking lot for 30 minutes to take their turn “spinning our way to success” the goal is to keep the bikes spinning for the entire time. We will be working in teams so that while one person is biking the others are cheering.

How will we celebrate? – To celebrate all our hard work Sobey’s has graciously donated all the food for a BBQ – hotdogs and milk for everyone!

What could we win?

Top seller – a bike from Mike’s bike shop (approximate value of $450.00)

Top class – a class skating party at the Shediac arena

Second top class – ice cream party
