Summer Enrichment Program 2017
Please find enclosed our summer application. The Summer Program begins June 5th, 2017. Please enroll for the weeks you wish your child to attend.
Summer enrollment requires a 1/3 deposit with all applications to be applied to the last weeks of enrollment. Families are financially responsible for all weeks enrolled. This policy will ensure full summer enrollment to meet our summer budget. Tuition is due each Monday.
Our Primary Program is offered to children ages 4-6 or students who have completed one year in our Primary Program. Extended Day children graduating to the Elementary program in the fall will remain with their classmates in the Primary Camp.
Our Elementary Enrichment Program is for children ages 7-12, who have completed one year of AMS Elementary School or the first grade in a public school system. If your child attends our Elementary Enrichment Program, you will be notified of field trips that may require a 3:15 pick up. Please notify the staff if you have prior appointments that would conflict with fieldtrips.
Once we receive your summer application and deposit, acceptance is automatic unless we are full. In the event we do not have an opening for summer weeks requested, you will be contacted immediately. Please contact the office if you wish to be on a wait list for specific weeks that may be full.

Primary Summer Program 2017
An experienced staff with innovative approaches will guide children through a creative landscape of studies using art, music, games and experiments. Early morning drop-off and afternoon care available.
Dates Program Instructors
1. June 5-9 The World of Art Wynn Walter/Sailaji Easwaran Explore a variety of art mediums and learn names and stories of famous artists.
2. June 12-16 Insects Everywhere Dana Larson/Debbie Miller
Delve into the world of insects. Learn about our local varieties and exotic bugs from around the world.
3. June 19-23 Inch by Inch: How Does Your Garden Grow? Megan Reed/Rebecca Snyder
Hands on learning. Do you know all your vegetables? Flowers light up our gardens too. It all begins with a seed!
4. June 26-July 30 Peace Begins With Me Megan Reed/Rebecca Snyder
There are many new curriculums and practices to instill calm and teach kindness, mindfulness and other tenets of peace. Share in the art, music and stories of peace.
5. July 3-July 7 Hoorah for the USA Dana Larson/Sarah Auman
Tap into the exciting history and iconic moments in United States History. Art, music and tales from the past bring our history to life.
6. July 10-July 14 Dive into Science Debbie Miller/Sarah Auman
Common household items can be used to open a window on scientific experiments. Join us to make slime, invent and expand your powers of observation.
7. July 17-21 Make Believe Megan Reed/Caitlin Weber
Explore both classic and contemporary stories of fantasy. Exercise your fancy in art and join stories in music and movement.
8. July 24--July 28 Prehistoric Adventures Megan Reed/Sarah Auman
Learn the unique and extraordinary features of pre-historic times and the world of dinosaurs.

A fun filled, dynamic summer enrichment program for children ages 4-6 (students must be currently attending Athens Montessori School to enroll for summer)
To Register:
Please complete and return application to the office or mail to the address above. Summer enrollment requires a 1/3 deposit with all applications. Cost:
Enrichment Program (9:00-3:00) $135/per week
Early AM Daycare (7:30-9:00) $10/per week
Afternoon Daycare (3:00-5:30) $30/per week
What to Bring: Students must bring a morning snack and lunch. An afternoon snack will be provided. Please dress your child in weather appropriate clothing, secure shoes and provide a spare set in a labeled Ziploc bag. Should your child require sunscreen or bug spray, please complete the attached permission form and return with your application. Label all items that come to school.
