  1. COURSE DESCRIPTION

1.1.Course objectives
The aim of the course is oral and written acquisition of medical terminology. Students are obliged to prepare and present a seminar paper, collect relevant literature in English and present it orally to other students.

1.3.Expected course learning outcomes
Students develop the ability to understand medical literature in English, to find, summarize and present data and information which will be indispensable in their professional work. They also develop the ability for individual and team work, organization, communication with the tutor and the group as well.
1.4.Course content
Seminar papers include the topics associated with the basic courses in the relevant year of study.

1.7.Student’s obligations
In order to realize the basic aims of the course the students must attend seminars regularly. Absence is allowed according to the Statute of the Faculty. Active participation and discussion are required. The course ends in written seminar paper which is presented orally in front of the group.
