Subject:Enquiry for Painting Works (Interior & Exterior including materials) of the Vidyalaya Building (Primary & Secondary Blocks) - regarding

Sirs,

1.Sealed quotations for Painting Works (Interior & Exterior including materials) of the Vidyalaya Building(Primary & Secondary Blocks)are invited by the undersigned on behalf of the K.V, No. 2, AFS, JALAHALLI EAST, BENGALURU - 14 up to 16.00 hours by 18.02.2017. Quotations should be sent (on your letter head/or in the enclosed printed quotation/estimation format with Registration Number/TIN/PAN) in a sealed cover marked as 'Quotation for Painting Works (Interior & Exterior including materials) of the Vidyalaya Building(Primary & Secondary Blocks)’ and not by name. The quotations will be opened in the office of the undersigned at 11.00 hours on 20.02.2017.

All as per item 1 above, but applying one coat of interior emulsion on the walls of verandah and parapet walls including stair case walls and ceiling.
Materials and labour for preparation of old plastered and painted surfaces of walls, ceiling and closing the holes, cracks/broken portions if any and applying one coat of exterior emulsion outside the rooms.
Materials and labour for preparation and cleaning of windows, ventilators and welded mesh fixed in rooms and applying one coat of synthetic enamel paint.
Materials and labour for preparation of old painted surfaces of doors and cupboards of the rooms and applying one coat of synthetic enamel paint.

2.You are requested to visit the Vidyalaya during working hours and take physical measurement of the areas and then submit the quotation according to the terms and conditions specified in paragraphs 3 to 10. Unless specified otherwise in the quotation, it shall be construed that the terms and conditions stipulated hereunder have been agreed to.

3.The rates should be F.O.R. and should be quoted per square meter and include excise duty, sales tax, freight charges, any other taxes, rates or imposition whatever liable in respect of the supplies. The Kendriya Vidyalaya shall not be liable to pay any tax, freight etc., which has not been expressly stipulated in the quotation in the event of acceptance of the quotation.

4.There should not be any over-writings or corrections in the quotation. If a figure is to be amended, it should be neatly scored out, the revised figure written above and the same attested with full signature and date. In the absence of the attested signature the quotation is liable to be rejected.

5.The undersigned does not bind himself/her-self to accept the lowest quotation and reserves the right to accept the quotation in whole or in part, i.e. with respect to all the articles mentioned in the attached statement or in respect of any one or more than one article specified in the attached statement as he/she may decide.

6. On acceptance of the quotation it will become a contract and the dealer shall be bound by the terms and conditions of the quotation.

7.The person/s whose quotation is accepted, herein after called the ‘Contractor’, shall enclose a crossed DD for Rs. 10,000/- (Rupees Ten Thousand only) drawn in favour of PRINCIPAL, KENDRIYA VIDYALAYA No. 2 JALAHALLI VVN A/C payable at BANGALORE towards EARNEST MONEY DEPOSIT along with the quotation which shall be refunded in the event of rejection of the quotation. The Earnest Money will be forfeited in the event of failure to comply with the contract. In the event of the acceptance of the quotation, the Earnest Money will be adjusted towards Security Deposit which shall be payable @ 05% on the total cost of the work.

If the Contractor is not agreeable to pay Security Deposit the reasons therefore should be specified and the undersigned reserves the right to accept or reject the request.

8.If the Contractor fails to complete the painting work within the time stipulated in the letter of acceptance by the undersigned, the undersigned shall be at liberty to cancel the work order or get the rest of the Contract completed by any other person or firm and the difference of price, if any, shall be deducted from the Earnest Money/Security Deposit and in case any amount in excess of the Security Deposit is paid by the undersigned to the Contractor shall be liable to pay this amount.

9.The quantity of the work being specified by this Vidyalaya may be increased or decreased at the discretion of the undersigned without assigning any reason.

10.The rates quoted by the dealer shall hold good up to 30.09.2017. No amendment in the rate except increase in the rate of Sales Tax during the period of execution of the supply/contract will be accepted.

11.The amount of Security Deposit shall be retained by the Vidyalaya for a period of Six months from the date of completion of painting work as a safeguard against any defect appearing in the painting work executed within this period.

12. Quotation which does not comply with the above conditions is liable to be rejected.
