Heart Pumping Drumming

Listen for the Last Regiment Drum Corp as they get the harriers pumped up before the start of each race and then bring them in to the finish line. Embrace your inner kid and dance to the rhythm of the drummers.

Courses: A limited supply of course maps will be available at the concession stand. On all courses the most popular viewing area is “Clear Lake” (mud hole). Follow the herd or ask runners. Note: It is almost impossible to watch runners negotiate the water and get back to watch them cross the finish line. PLEASE stay out of “Clear Lake”.

T-Shirt Sales:

If, and this is a big if, we have any t-shirts available after the Friday night sales they will be sold close to the concession stand and where runners can register for the Open Race. There will also be other t-shirts and other meet apparel available in the same area.

Concessions (also Lost and Found)

Located 40 meters or so to the west of the finish line is a concession stand to satisfy most of your culinary dreams. Well, some of them at least. There will be a wide array of food and drinks available.

A “Thank You” goes a long long way.

Please take time to thank the many volunteers who make this meet possible. You will find them helping park cars, at the finish area, medical tent, starting the races, handing out Gatorade and processing results.

The good people of Camp Rilea, both military and civilian, go well beyond the call of duty to make it possible for us to use their facility and create an absolute unique opportunity for all the runners. They are short staffed and over worked yet never fail to rally to the Three Course Challenge.

Also Seaside High Cross Country runners and other students put in many extra hours to make this event special. When you see these fine young women and men give them a sign of appreciation for their efforts.

History

On our website, under the “more” tab there is a page with information on the number of competitors on each course each year. There is also a list of all the school who have attended the meet.

Concerns and comments. Please, if you have a concern, find Race Director Neil Branson at the meet (good luck as he is in constant motion) or call him at 503-739-2471 or email at
