Guest Speaker: Richard Spancake, Director of Human Resources

Fraud Awareness week- November 14-18, 2016. Richard Spancake informed Staff Forum that emails were going to be sent out with common issues about fraud and ethics. He informed us that there were two common ethics reasons that employees could get into trouble: Conduct and Ethics. Spancake asked us that if there is a question when making a decision to ask questions and be transparent. Getting advice or permission from your supervisor can cover you if there is ever a question about a decision that you make. Spancake informed us that about 43% of fraud is caught from someone reporting it. He told us that we are always welcome to talk with himself, Paul Willis, Vice President of Fiscal Affairs, and/or Deidra Jackson, Comptroller, about any issues. There is also a USG Global Compliance Hotline. Contact Information will be communicated in the emails. A copy of the USG Ethics Policy will be included in the emails as well. Spancake encourages us to read and become familiar with this policy.

Brooke Jernigan, Enrollment Counselor

New Stallion Day Agenda- Stallion Day is held November 12, 2016. Brooke Jernigan informed Staff Forum of the changes that were to come with the new agenda on Stallion Day. Jernigan stated that the schedules for the students were tailor made by the individual student. They were able to pick what they wanted to attend. Another change is that the Parents and Students would stay together instead of splitting them apart for different sessions.
