The following temporary shelters are open to support those fleeing from states affected by Katrina. Basics necessities will be provided. Pets, alcohol, drugs or weapons are not permitted in the shelters. Smoking will be allowed in designated areas.

Wilkerson Greines Athletic Center (5201 C.A. Robertson Blvd. at I-20 and Wichita) will be the receiving/intake area for evacuee buses. All evacuees must go to Wilkerson Greines Athletic Center to receive assistance.

PLEASE DO NOT REPORT THE SHELTER LOCATIONS, SO WE CAN INSURE EVACUEES GO THROUGH THE RECEIVING/INTAKE AREA TO RECEIVE THE APPROPRIATE SERVICES. Space is still available at current shelter locations in Tarrant County. If initial shelters reach capacity, a contingency plan is in place to open more shelters as required.
