An action packed weekend staying indoors at “Weavers Lodge”.

It is a fully equipped activity centre providing self catering accommodation.

This is our thirteenthWinter Campand it has become more and more popular each year. With 24 places on offer, we expect to have to runa reserve listso hurry!

Winter Camp is totally different from Summer Camp.

It’s indoors; uses a part of the site at Blacklands not used in the summer; provides a range of new and exciting activities; a menu which includes many of your favourite requests and there is more free / social time with a later lights out for our older Scouts.

Blackland Farm is owned and run by Girlguiding UK and has been used by groups for over 60 years. It is one of the South East’s largest activity centres and consists of 122 acres of fields and woods near AshdownForest in the Sussex countryside.

We have over 40years experience of running camps and Blackland Farm offers us a wide range of exciting activities in a brilliant location.

THE SITE AND FACILITIES

It is situated in Grinstead Lane, East Grinstead, West Sussex and offers several equipped and unequipped camping sites as well as self catering accommodation in four separate buildings. “Weavers”has dormitories, leaders’ rooms, a kitchen, dining / activity areas,washrooms with toilets and showers and is all on the ground floor with a verandah too.

ACTIVITIES

We plan to offer two programmes:- a similar programme to last year (subject to availability)for the Scouts and something different, fun and exciting to suit the younger age range of the Cubs.

COST

The cost is unaltered for the fifthyear running at £95 and includes transport – our Minibus and Trailer; all meals cooked by our excellent chefs; accommodationfees and all activities with fully qualified instructors and equipment on site plus one or two off site activities if available. The only extra is pocket money - £10maximum please.

No places have been saved for anyone in advance of this letter – it’s first come, first servedwith form and cheque to book a place. A kit list and health form will be

e mailed to you nearer the time. Unless you have already completed one, you will also need to complete anair rifle shooting permission form which is available on the web site under “Key Forms / Docs”.

We propose leaving St. Mark’s on Friday 16thFebruary at 3pm prompt so that we can avoid as much of the rush hour traffic as possible.
