FACILITY: 6-lane, 25-meter pool, with Kiefer non-turbulent lane lines, Colorado electronic timing system with a 6-Lane scoreboard, and new starting blocks. The pool depth at the start end of the pool is 12 feet at 1 meter and 3 meters from the wall. The depth at the turn end of the pool is 3’ 6” at 1 meter from the wall, and 3’ 10” at 3 meters from the wall. The competition course has not been certified in accordance with 104.2.2C (4).

Bleacher seating is available above the pool deck.

ENTRIES: Swimmers may swim 5 individual events per day. All events will be timed finals and there are no time standards for this meet. Age of athlete on September 24, 2011, will determine the age group for this meet. A meet entry file will be posted on the YSWV website: All entries should be in Hy-Tek format and sent to . Please include the name of a contact person along with a phone number and email address with your entries.

All swimmers must have a 2011 USA Registration number. No entrant will be permitted to compete unless the entrant is a member as provided in Article 302. All Meet Directors, referees, starters, and stroke and turn judges serving in an official capacity must be members of USA Swimming or other FINA-member organization. All persons acting in any coaching capacity must be members of USA swimming. EXCEPTION: Coaches participating under provisions of 202.6 or USA Swimming “open borders” policy.

ENTRY FEES:Individual Events: $3.00Individual Deck Entry: $6.00

WV Swimming Fee: $5.00 per swimmer

Make checks payable to: YMCA of Southern West Virginia. Once accepted, entry fees WILL NOT be refunded. Your team may bring the check the day of the meet, but will not be able to swim if team balance is not paid.

ENTRY DEADLINE: Entries must be received on or before Monday, September 19,2011 at 4:30 p.m. Late entries may not be accepted. Deck entries will be accepted ONLY if there are open lanes. Deck entries by swimmers not already entered in the meet will require proof of USA Swimming Registration.

AWARDS:Freeshirt for the first 100swimmers!

Please indicate coach’s/swimmer’s names and shirt sizes for EACH swimmer with your entries so we can have them sorted for your arrival. Sizes: YM, YL, AS, AM, AL, AXL, AXXL

Awards will be sorted by teams and may be picked up by coaches at the end of the meet.

DIVE CERTIFICATION: Any swimmer entered in the meet must be certified by a USA Swimming member coach as being proficient inperforming a racing start or must start each race from within the water. When unaccompanied by a membercoach,it is the responsibility of the swimmer or the swimmer’s legal guardian to ensure compliance with thisrequirement.

CHECK IN: All events 400 or longer will be conducted as “positive check-in” events in which the swimmer, Swim Team coach, and/or Team Representative must indicate the swimmer’s intention to swim in these events prior to the conclusion of warm-ups. Swimmers for the 400 meter freestyle must provide their own lap counter and timer.

WARM-UP PROCEDURES: Warm-up for Saturday is as follows: General warm-up, boys and girls all ages 9:00 AM – 9:50 AM. Warm-up for Sunday is as follows: General warm-up, boys and girls all ages 10:00 AM – 10:50 AM. Feet first entry, by placing one hand on the deck or starting block and then sliding into the water, is required. Jumping out into the pool is not permitted. Dive starts are allowed once circle swimming is complete and permission is given by the meet referee. Lane assignments will be made once registration is completed.

TIMERS AND OFFICIALS: All attending teams will be required to supply two volunteer timers for both days. Any team who wishes to volunteer an official should contact the meet director as soon as possible. All volunteers should check in with the Meet Director upon arrival.

HEAT SHEETS: Coaches packets with two (2) complimentary heat sheets will be available. Spectators can purchase heat sheets for $5.00 at the concession stand.

RESULTS: Each team will be emailed a copy of results. Upon request, hard copies can be mailed within ten (10) days of the meet completion for $10.00.

CONDUCT: Any destruction of property during the swim meet will result in the immediate disqualification of the swimmer and/or spectator from the meet. The swimming clubs will be responsible for the behavior of their swimmers, parents, coaches, and guests.

DIRECTIONS:

From I77 (Harper Road Exit #44): Turn left if traveling southbound, right if northbound. RaleighGeneralHospitalwill be on the left. After approximately 2 miles, cross Robert C. Byrd Drive. Harper Road becomes Neville Street (one-way, bricked street). You will pass the First Baptist Church (on the right), Trio Consignment (in the turn), and the Raleigh County Courthouse (on the left). Move to the right lane and cross South Kanawha Street at the light. Neville Street becomes E. Main St. The YMCA is on the left.

From I64 (East Beckley/Eisenhower Dr. Exit # 124): Follow signs to Eisenhower Dr. After approximately 1 mile, passing the RaleighCountyConvention Center on the right, turn left onto Johnstown Road. Follow Johnstown about 1 mile. Turn right at the light onto South Kanawha Street which will go through MountainStateUniversity. At the next light, turn right onto E. Main Street (one-way). The YMCA is on the left.

PARKING: Parking is available on both sides of E. Main Street and in the lot on the lower right. Continue around the large curve and turn left at the light to find additional parking behind the YMCA.

LODGING and RESTAURANTS: Many hotels and restaurants are located on Harper Road.
