  1. Maximum two (2) nominations per event. These should be the two fastest swimmers from your District Trial who have met the South West Qualifying Standards. There are no finals, selections will be made from times swum in the heats
  2. If a district has more than 2 swimmers who have swum a qualifying time at the school/district carnival, a third swimmer may be nominated if the time swum is under QSS qualifying. Contact the RSSO before submitting nominations.
  3. District/s who do not forward nominations by the due date will not have their swimmers included in the program.
  4. All nominations MUST include the times swum by the swimmer at the DISTRICT Carnival/Trial. (i.e. Faster times swum at other meets will NOT be recognised).
  5. Events marked with # in the qualifying table are events that will be swum as open events at the South West regional trial but as age events at the state championships. Different qualifying standards apply for different age groups.
  6. Events marked with an asterisk * in the QSS Swimming qualifying table are events not swum at the SWSS trials. Swimmers wishing to nominate for these events at the state championships are able to submit times for consideration from a recognised meet or time trial.

NOTE:

  • All Multi Class students are invited to nominate for the regional championships.
  • These students will swim alongside able-bodied swimmers of the same age.
  • There are no qualifying times for Multi Class students to participate in the South West trials but as a general rule swimmers need to be swimming times that are comparable to state qualifying as per able bodied swimmers ie +10sec/50m.
  • Please consult the qualifying times and include these students in your nominations.
  • The Multi Class nomination form MUST accompany the Meet Manager nomination file when it is emailed to the RSSO.
