2018 Midsouth Games Rally

This is your MidSouth Games Rally entry packet. This rally is a one-day Rally, which is being organized in accordance with the “USPC Rules for Games Rally”, the “USPC Horse Management Rulebook” and the Annual Spring Newsletters for Horse Management and Games. Ponies will be tied to trailers for the day and teams will use trailers for their tack rooms.
Divisions: all competitor ages are as of Jan. 1, 2018.
Novice- Designed so that riders of any age and rating that are not interested in qualifying for Championships can form a team. The riders in Novice are allowed but not required to canter.
Junior-All members must be 10-14 years of age and at least a D-3 HM & D-2 Flat. Division eligible for championships.
Senior-All members must be 14-18 years of age. D-3 HM & Flat. Division eligible for Championships.
Advanced Pairs-Members are 18-25 years old and must have a min C-1 rating. Division eligible for Championships.
-All teams have no less than 4 and no more than 5 riders. No Stable Managers. -Composite teams will be formed if needed. We will work to be sure anyone that wants to play will have a team. Please contact the organizer ASAP if you need help finding a team and go ahead and mail in your entry.
Divisions may be combined if entries warrant.
WHAT IS THE COST:
-Entry fee is $100 per rider. Check made payable to Midsouth Region. -Lunch is included in the entry fee for the competitors and all volunteers.
Stalls for Saturday night are available for $40 each. This is optional and available on a first come first served basis, so please get your entries in earlier rather than later if you need stalls for your team. You must provide your own shavings, none available on site.
WHAT TO WEAR:
Required Clothing- ASTM/SEI Helmets and acceptable footwear. Each team must provide a white helmet cover or wide band to be used by the final rider in each race. We have some available to lend if needed. Jerseys or T-shirts may be worn in lieu of pinnies with numbers on front and back. All competitors must wear armbands with a 2018 USPC medical release form inside at all times during rally or medical bracelets with required USPC information.
MISCELLANEOUS INFORMATION:
-Volunteers are a vital part of games rally. No experience is necessary. We have scribe positions, lane judges, equipment crew and more to fill. We cannot run the rally without volunteers. Please be sure to wear appropriate footwear to be around horses.
- Lunch Saturday is provided for everyone.
- Games played will be the list of games selected for Championships 2018. This list will be determined at the USPC Annual Meeting and will be in the spring newsletter.

Proposed Rally schedule- subject to change based on participation levels. Exact schedule will be emailed as soon as all entries are received.
Saturday: Optional arrival for those with stalls.
Sunday: 7:00 – 7:45 Arrival- Set Up
8:00 Official Start of Rally - trailers parked and parents out of trailer areas
9:30 Turnout inspections begin
10:30 Games Group 1/ Tackroom Inspections Group 2
12:00 lunch break for all
1:30 Games Group 2/ Tackroom Inspections Group 1
4:00 Awards
