CLASS VISIT
Dear Parents/Carers
A visit from the Life Long Ago Dinosaur Workshop has been arranged for Flamingo, Hummingbird and Goldfinch classes on TUESDAY 3RD MAY 2016 to support the curricular work going on in class.
This will be an awe inspiring entry point for our dinosaur topic, providing an experience the children will never forget. Each class will attend the sessions individually to allow maximum contact time with resources and group leaders. In the first session they will be hunting in large sandboxes, locating and identifying fossils from some of the most iconic dinosaurs of the past. Tyrannosaurus Rex, Stegosaurus, Triceratops and a few other surprises are all thrown in. The children will learn when each dinosaur lived, where they came from, what they ate and much more.
In the second session they will meet a life size, baby Tyrannosaurus Rex called Sophie. This is a life-like full body costume that is worked by a puppeteer. Modelled on puppets from the Walking with Dinosaurs live show, it has animatronics features and a realistic roar - making it a dynamic and interactive learning experience.

The cost of the workshop is £14.00. This is a voluntary contribution; children who are not able to pay
will not be excluded. However, if insufficient funds are raised, the workshop may be cancelled.
