2018 March of Dimes Excellence in NICU Leadership Award

Introduction

Is there a leader in your hospital who leads by example, engages his/her team, improves patient care, and empowers families and staff to ensure a positive experience in your NICU? If so, he or she could become the next recipient of the March of Dimes Excellence in NICU Leadership Award!

Established in 2012, the March of Dimes Excellence in NICU Leadership Award has been given to 7 exceptional leaders who were nominated by their staff in recognition of their outstanding ability to spearhead change that improved the quality of care being given in their NICU.

This award honors leaders who demonstrate three essential attributes: understanding of the complicated issues facing healthcare and applying that knowledge to the care of patients and the operation of the unit;meaningful and engaging care for self, team and patients/families; and courage to be both strong and empathic when the situation demands. These attributes are the heart of what makes a strong leader, and March of Dimes and Synova are proud to partner together to honor an exemplar of these qualities each year.
