THE 2017 LEHIGH VALLEY MID-AMATEUR STROKE PLAY CHAMPIONSHIP IS A CHAMPIONSHIP GOLF TOURNAMENT FOR ELIGIBLE AMATEUR GOLFERS 30 YEARS OF AGE OR OLDER AS OF JULY 6, 2018.
FORMAT: 36 holes, stroke play. 2 competitive flights based on the first round scores. The championship flight winner will be declared the mid-amateur champion of the Lehigh Valley, PA region for 2018.
PURSE: $3,000 (gift certificates), based on a full field of 60 players.
APPLICATION FOR ENTRY - FEE $100 (INCLUDES GREENS FEES, CARTS, PRIZES,& REFRESHMENTS).

The reason for rejection may include unbecoming behavior.

TOURNAMENT DETAILS
1. FORMAT: 36 holes, stroke play. 2 competitive flights based on the first round scores. All flights will play from the blue markers.
2. PLAYING CONDITIONS: Blue markers. The pin positions will be determined by Wedgewood Golf Course.
3. RULES COMMITTEE: The 2018 Lehigh Valley Mid-Amateur Stroke Play Championship will be played under official 2018 USGA rules,
and all applicable local rules as interpreted by Wedgwood Golf Course. The GALV will be the rules committee of the tournament,
and will make any necessary rulings throughout the tournament. All participants must be 30 years of age or older as of July 6, 2018.
4. FEES: $100 entrance fee; includes greens fees, carts, prizes, refreshments, and plaques.
5. PRIZES: $3,000 (gift certificates), based on a full field of 60 players.
6. STARTING TIMES: First Round: 7:00 a.m. to 8:20 a.m.; Second Round: 12:30 p.m. to 1:56 p.m. Starting times will be available beginning Wednesday, July 4, 2018from the GALV at or at 610-437-4982.
7. FOURSOME PAIRINGS: First round - blind draw. Second round - by the reverse order (highest to lowest) of the first round scores. Ties
in the first round scores will be broken (to establish the second round times) in the order the tied players registered their first round scores.
NOTE: The Golf Association of the Lehigh Valley (GALV) and its committees, reserves the right to verify handicaps, addresses, and amateur status of all tournament applicants as defined by the United States Golf Association. All applications for entrance to GALV tournaments are subject to acceptance by the tournament committee. The tournament committee reserves the right to limit entries, adjust tournament dates, times, competitive formats, and expenditures, and other tournament procedures to adjust to conditions prevailing at the time of the tournament. Purse amounts are predicated on the estimated number of players in the field that are listed in this tournament application. If less players play than estimated for this tournament, purse amounts will be reduced by a similar or accelerated percentage. All applicants agree to abide by the rules of golf as defined by the United States Golf Association, local tournament rules set forth by the GALV and the tournament committee; and any rules committee rulings. Applicants to GALV tournaments hereby release the GALV tournament committee, rules committee, and host course personnel from any and all liability for any event or consequence whatsoever in any way arising out of or relating to the applicants entry and/or participation in any GALV tournament; with the sole and singular exception of liability arising out of willful misconduct by the tournament committee. Entrance fees are non-refundable, except to players who withdraw seven (7) days in advance, or cancellation of play due to severe weather conditions, in which case applicable greens fees will be refunded subject to the tournament host golf club's refund policy.

2. click on the Golf Association of the Lehigh Valley heading. On the heading’s drop-down menu, click on “Welcome to the GALV”.
3. click on the "Tournament Sign Up" icon. There is no membership fee.
4. the screen will state: “I do not have an ID and Password”. Hit “Next”.
5. waiver page: Review the waiver. Click on "I agree to the above waiver", click “Next”
6. fill out the membership form, click “Next”, continue with the tournament registration process.
7. register to play in tournaments.
